There are two
restaurants in St Auban, both of which are very traditional, serving frogs legs,
wild boar stew, lavender creme caramel etc, one of which also includes a
pizzeria. There is also a lunch time
restaurant at the trout ponds, a restaurant at the campsite and a snack
bar where you can buy steak sandwiches, chips etc.
Restaurants in St Auban
Tracastel. Just off the village square, past the Mairie, at the top of the village. The Tracastel is currently being renovated and will reopen in April 2008. Highly recommended. Take away pizzas also available.
Caribou. 3km from St Auban on the road to Les Lattes. Tel. 04 93 60 79 02
La Pinatelle restaurant at the campsite. Open 12th April to 14th September. Tel. 04 93 60 40 46
The Gite Tonic. Overlooking the trout ponds. The restaurant at the Gite Tonic is open to the public on Friday and Saturday evenings. On Friday evenings there is a set menu of local cuisine. On Saturday evenings there is a set menu using ingredients from around the World. Tel 04 93 60 41 23. Please note, reservations must be made by Wednesday.
Brasserie Aux Amis, Place du Carrefour, at the foot of St Auban. Open all year round for lunch and evening meals. Closed Monday evening and all day Tuesday. Tel. 06 50 44 32 80.

below, are all within half an hours drive of Les Basses Beaumettes, (except the
Calandal at Aiglun and the Foulon, which are 40 mins drive and La Fontaine aux
Vins at Valbonne 59 mins). We strongly
advise you to make reservations in restaurants and are happy to do this for you.
Please note, it is worth bearing in mind that some of these restaurants are closed in winter, however as you can see from the picture on the left, nothing closes the Lou Jas at nearby Soleihas.
